Non Quantitative Approaches

The non quantitative means are helpful not only for problems dealing with objectives, but also for problems dealing with the means to accomplish the objectives. In application the nonquantitative bases are highly personal, widely known, and considered by many as the natural way to make a decision. Generally speaking, there are four bases for nonquantitative managerial decision making: intuition, facts, experience, and considered opinions. We will briefly review these and then examine several actual processes used by managers today.
